Scratch Night
Are you an experimental performer working through music, dance, word, arts or another discipline? Do you have a work-in-progress you’d like to share with an interdisciplinary community?
We invite experimental performers working in any discipline to share their works-in-progress. The work should be created for a live audience and should have had little or no previous exposure. The chosen acts will have up to 15 minutes for their performance, followed by a question and answer session from the audience.
Apply
The next Scratch Night will be on 10th July 2026. Applications are now open! Please fill out the application form before midnight on 14th June.

Our Vision
Bonjour Claude aim to connect experimental artists working across various disciplines in Manchester. Inspired by and in association with eavesdropping in London, we are nurturing a culture of regular sharings, conversation, and interdisciplinary support for each other. We are currently booking for our fourth Scratch Night and our first one-day event is in the planning. We want to open cross-disciplinary dialogues in experimental performance, building community for the fragmented network of experimental artists in the north of England. There is inadequate provision for artists like us to perform locally and little connection or conversation between artists within or across disciplines. We would therefore like to provide regular opportunities for experimental performers to get together and share their work, building an interdisciplinary network of creativity and inquiry.
If you would like to help us achieve this vision, please contact us to see how you can get involved.
